BMSS to host National General Assembly

Each year Bangladesh Medical Students' Society (BMSS Bangladesh) organises the National General Assembly, one of the largest gatherings of medical students and doctors in the country. With the theme "Regeneration and Repair" this year's National General Assembly is set to commence on April 22 at United International University.

The day long event will have external affairs, idea presentation competition, sessions on different aspects of health care,leadership quality enriching organisation management session,president's session,plenary  and activities fair where year long activities will be featured. The thematic session named "Reflecting on inadequacies of health systems and navigating ways of for better pandemic preparedness in developing countries" will be graced with the presence of DGME Line Director Dr Nazmul Islam Munna; Covid expert from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Dr Abu Jamil Faisel, and cardiovascular surgeon Dr Saklayen Russell.

The event will also be adorned with a gracious appearance of National Liver Foundation Founder Prof. Dr Mohammad Ali, Shanti Cancer Foundation Secretary General Prof. Dr Parveen Saheeda, BLOODMAN Foundation Founder and Chairman Md Sahariar Hasan JiiSun, Bandhu Social Welfare Society Executive Director Shale Ahmed as well as benefactors from Square Group, Unimed Health, and Evercare Hospital. The annual magazine of BMSS will be launched at the event too.

BMSS Bangladesh creates a platform where medical students can advocate for a better world. Through the idea presentation competition BMSS will provide an opportunity to medical students to voice their concerns.

The Daily Star is one of the partners of the event. 270 and more participants are expected to join the National General Assembly.
