The North South University (NSU) Intra Debate Championship 2019 was held from November 22 – December 1, 2019. Ph factor was the title sponsor for the event; SHOUT was Youth Engagement Partner; HiFi Public was Online Media Partner; champs21 was E-Learning Partner; Advance Attire was Apparel Partner; Bangladesh Protidin was Print Media Partner; News24 was Media Partner; and Radio Today was Radio Partner. 

The debate championship had both Bangla and English debate competitions, where any student from NSU could participate. The Bangla segment was comprised of 10 teams with four preliminary rounds, a semifinal and a final debate. The winner of the Bangla segment was team Hulk consisting of Safat Ullah Chowdury, Pallob Poddar, Irfan Al-goni Zarif. The debater of the finals for the Bangla segment was Safat Ullah Chowdury.

For the English segment, Team Wonder Woman comprising of Momotaz Rahman Megha, Nivana Mostafi Kamal and Al Zadid Bin Plabon became champions. Momotaz Rahman Megha was the debater of the finals.

The debater of the tournament title went to Riadul Islam Joy and Tarikul Islam Hridoy for the Bangla segment and for the English segment, the title went to Momotaz Rahman Megha, Aarshe Tashfia and Shadman Karim.

   The keynote speaker for the closing ceremony was Ivan Ahmed Katha, President, Sachetan Samajseba Hijra Sangha who inspired students with her stories of integrating into the society. The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Abdun Noor Tushar, CEO, Nagorik TV as special guest. Benajir Ahmed, Chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU was the chief guest.
