YSSE organises Bangladesh Youth Symposium 2020 at NSU

The Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) organised "Bangladesh Youth Symposium " at North South University (NSU) virtually through Zoom on November 13, 2020. 

YSSE is a youth led non-profit organisation which is dedicated to eradicate extreme poverty and solve youth unemployment problem by empowering youth and women through social entrepreneurship.

Dr. Atiur Rahman, renowned development economist, writer and former governor of Bangladesh Bank was chief guest of the symposium. Guest of honour of the evening was Earl. R. Miller, US Ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He expressed his thoughts about youth towards entrepreneurship and social activities.

Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean and Professor of the School of Business and Economics at NSU was the special guest of the day. Tajdin Hassan, Head of marketing, The Daily Star was the resource person on the symposium who discussed about "Marketing Ideas for the New Normal Age". 

Esrat Karim, founder and director of AMAL, Forbes 30 Under 30 listed young entrepreneur was the guest speaker. She highlighted the floor talking about the important issue on "Women in Entrepreneurship". 

Sadaf Taimur, Research fellow of JSPS, doctoral scholar at The University of Tokyo was panelist. Deepal Jain, Director, business consulting and analytics was also a panelist. 

Bangladesh Youth Symposium 2020 arranged "Elevator Pitch Challenge " to present business idea in front of judges. Top 7 ideas were selected to pitch before judges and they would get gift, crest, and certificates. Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf Hossain, Founder and President of YSSE was the judge.  Winner of the elevator pitch was Mahin Abrar Rahman and the runner-up was Mashrur Rahman.
