Humayun Ahmed's Anil Bagchi'r Ekdin gets screen adaptation
In celebration of the late writer's 67th birthday, a screen adaptation of his novel "Anil Bagchi'r Ekdin" will be premiered. Produced by Bengal Creations and directed by Morshedul Islam, he commented that the film explores the aspects of social values and humanity during the 1971 Liberation War. Newcomer Arif Syeed has played the titular role in the film and the director feels that he fits his need to introduce a fresh face in the film perfectly. Arif, excited for his first feature film, has asked everyone to watch his work and send feedback so that he can work on achieving perfection. The film has already been screened as "Asian Contemporary Official Selection" in the Bangkok Film Festival.
The feature is scheduled for nationwide release on December 11th this year on account of Victory Day.
