Tamim gets his stitches removed
Bangladesh cricketer Tamim Iqbal, who suffered an injury to his stomach during Bangladesh's practice match at Chittagong had his stitches removed today.
Tamim had four stitches on his stomach owing to the injury.
The cricketer had returned to training earlier and has been practicing with the squad normally.
The injury was caused by broken shards of glasses which injured his stomach. Upon pushing the glass door of the dressing room the glass had broken down altogether. This resulted in Tamim losing his balance and falling down on the broken shards.
Earlier, Tamim said the injury was not serious and was thankful that he got off easy from a bad situation.
"The moment I pushed on the door the glass broke entirely'" Tamim had said previously.
"I fell to the ground as well and if anyone saw the state of my pads, they would know how dangerous the accident could have been."
"Thanks to Allah that I got off from such a dangerous situation. The injury is nothing serious, I am just thankful since the situation could have been bad."
