Bangladesh are set to embark on a month-long tour in the West Indies this month to test their skills in all three formats against the home side, once an undisputed powerhouse of the game.

The first assignment for the Tigers and their new Test captain Shakib Al Hasan would be to turn the tides from the consecutive series defeats against South Africa and Sri Lanka in the two-match Test series at the Caribbean, slated to begin from June 16.

With Bangladesh's fifth tour of the Windies approaching, it will be a good time to start revisiting the highlight reel from the Tigers' previous tours of the Caribbean.

For this segment, we are only focusing on the three-match T20I series, which the Tigers won 2-1, during their tour of the West Indies in 2018.

Shakib, Tamim combine to stage yet another comeback

It was an inspiring 207-run second-wicket stand between Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan that had helped Bangladesh bounce back from a dismal Test series to win the first ODI against West Indies. The duo once again combined to stage yet another comeback for the Tigers. Powered by Shakib and Tamim, Bangladesh managed to beat the reigning T20 champions by 12 runs in the second T20I in Florida as the Tigers levelled the three-match T20I series after losing the first game in Basseterre. Tamim set the tone for the win with a blistering 44-ball 74 at the top while Shakib smashed a 38-ball 60 and then complemented it by returning miserly figures of two for 19 in four overs. Thanks to the duo's show, Bangladesh were able to restrict the Windies to 159 for nine after posting a competitive 171 for five.

Liton stars as Bangladesh clinch T20I series

An exquisite Liton Das show saw Bangladesh romp to a 19-run win (via D/L method) in a curtailed-over contest in Florida to clinch the T20I series 2-1, the same margin by which the Tigers had also sealed the preceding ODI series. Bangladesh got off to a brisk start as the opening duo of Liton and Tamim Iqbal raced to 61 in just 4.4 overs after skipper Shakib Al Hasan elected to bat. Tamim fell after a rapid 13-ball 21 but Liton kept on going as he brought up his first 50-plus score in 17 innings. Mahmdullah Riyad's unbeaten 32 off 20 deliveries and scores of 24 and 18* from Shakib and Ariful Haque, respectively, at the death powered Bangladesh to 184 for five in 20 overs. The target was trimmed to 155 from 17.1 overs due to rain and it needed Mustafizur Rahman's three-for, which included the wicket of a dangerous-looking Andre Russell, to restrict the T20 World Champions to 135 for seven.
