Hasan stars as Bangladesh pacers combine to bundle out Ireland fast
Courtesy of some fine pace bowling which should please Allan Donald, Bangladesh are well poised to win the series after restricting Ireland to 101 in the third and final match of the ODI series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
An exhibition of fast-bowling was on display as Hasan Mahmud starred with his maiden five-wicket haul , while Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain picked up three and two wickets respectively as Bangladesh pacers, for the very first time in any format, picked up all ten wickets in an innings.
Hasan became the 13th Bangladesh bowler to pick up a five-wicket haul in ODIs as he finished with figures of five wickets for 32 runs, while Taskin scalped three giving away 26 runs from his ten overs. Ebadot conceded 29 for his two wickets.
Curtis Campher top-scored with a 48-ball 36 where he hit four boundaries and managed a 42-run stand, the highest in the innings, with Lorcan Tucker, who hit as many fours as Campher for his 31-ball 28 as no other Ireland batter could reach double figures.
