Miraz departs after 50-run opening stand

Bangladesh opener Mehedi Hasan Miraz failed to time one off Dasun Shanaka as he departed after putting on a 55-run opening stand with Mohammad Naim against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup Super Four encounter between the two nations at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
Miraz, after a solid start that saw him score a 29-ball 28 laced with four boundaries, threw his wicket away while trying to pull a short of a length delivery through mid-wicket. The right-handed batter only managed to chip it to short mid-on.
His dismissal brought Liton Das to the crease.
Meanwhile, Naim remained unbeaten on 20 runs off 38 deliveries.
