Twin tons from Mahidul Islam Ankon and Nurul Hasan Sohan helped Bangladesh 'A' to a 87-run win over their New Zealand counterparts in the second one-dayer and to a 2-0 series win with a match left to play in Sylhet today.

Batting first, the home side lost Parvez Hossain Emon early before Anamul Haque (39) and Mohammad Naim (40) contributed to a 73-run stand for the third wicket. Both batters, however, departed before the score reached the 100-run mark.

Ankon and Sohan put on a 224-run stand for the fourth wicket as both batters hit three digits.

Ankon got 105 off 108 deliveries, hitting seven fours and five sixes, while Sohan struck 112 off 101 deliveries with seven fours and six.

Ankon fell in the final over of the innings while Mosaddek Hossain managed 13 off 10 to help Bangladesh to a healthy score.

In reply, the visitors put up a better effort with the bat, compared to the previous game, as they managed 257 all out. Opener Dale Phillips got 79 off just 54 deliveries, but Josh Clarkson's 34, Mitch Fray's 38 and Kristian Clarke's unbeaten 39 was not enough for New Zealand 'A'.

Mosaddek bagged three for 50, while Shoriful Islam, Shamim Hossain and Tanvir Islam scleped two wickets apiece.
