Tigers lose Tamim early
Bangladesh lost their skipper Tamim Iqbal early in the third over for seven runs after the Tigers were put into bat by Ireland in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
The left-handed batter couldn't help himself when he saw a full-length delivery off Ireland pacer Mark Adair and looked to play an expansive drive away from the body. The ball shaped away and took the outside edge and ended up in the hands of Paul Stirling at first slip.
The Tigers managed 19 runs for the loss of one after the end of the third over, with Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto at the crease.
Earlier, Ireland have won the toss and opted to field first in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
