Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has reportedly come to a mutual understanding with the former assistant coach of national team, Rene Koster, that it will pay the Dutchman 50,000 US dollars so that the complaint against the local game's governing body is withdrawn.

“We have been asked to pay the unpaid wages of Rene Koster as well as the interest accrued on the due wages at the rate of five percent and bear the expense of the procedural costs for both FIFA and the lawyer of Koster.

The total amount of payable stands at nearly 80,000 US dollars,” admitted BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag. “However, we have already come to a settlement with Koster and we will pay him nearly 50,000 dollars and he will withdraw his complaint,” added Shohag.

The BFF was recently asked by world football's governing body, FIFA, to pay unpaid wages of Koster, who was sacked in October 2014 along with head coach Lodewijk de Kruif. Though de Kruif was later reinstated, Koster went back to Netherlands and did not return again.

He later lodged a complaint with FIFA against the BFF to get his dues according to the agreement. BFF had initially signed the two Dutchmen for two-year contracts till June 2015, which had dictated that Koster would act as the coach of the BFF academy, but he was later given the responsibility as de Kruif's deputy.
