‘Who charmed whom’ was the question that may have been passing through everyone’s mind when ‘Professor X’ posted a photo of himself with the ‘supernatural’ Lionel Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo walked away with the best male player award at the 2017 FIFA Best Awards in London.
However, it was Lionel Messi who grabbed a brilliant piece of memorabilia when he took a selfie with English actor Sir Patrick Stewart, known for his beautiful portrayal of X-Men’s professor Charles Xavier.
Indeed the man, who is also famously known as the captain of the Starship USS Enterprise –D for his role in Star Trek had a moment with the guy who many calls ‘being from another Universe.’
Messi’s abilities are so unreal that even Sir Patrick Stewart was captivated by his presence – so much so that Sir Patrick tweeted the photo of him and Messi together with the caption “I met a God tonight! #LeoMessi #TheBest FIFA Football Awards 2017.”
Some fans could not resist the temptation to find a Messi vs Ronaldo angle in all this as they scoured the background of Sir Patrick’s photo.

Sir Patrick is known for being a huge football fan and is an avid and incredibly vocal supporter of Huddersfield Town.
Turns out that for Sir Partick, the MVP indeed was Lionel Messi. Messi has started the new season in fine form as he notched up 11 goals in 9 matches while also dragging Argentina to the World Cup with a crucial hatrrick against Ecuador.
