Neymar gets injured after losing Brazil captaincy
Brazil forward Neymar limped out of training due to a knee injury on Tuesday ahead of the Copa America tournament.
The 27-year-old left the field in the Granja Comary training ground outside Rio de Janeiro alongside doctor Rodrigo Lasmar.
It was another setback for Brazil's biggest star, who has only played four matches with Paris Saint-Germain since returning from a broken metatarsal in his right foot on April 27, the injury that slowed his runs and dribbles at last year's World Cup.
It was altogether not a good week for Neymar after he was stripped of the Brazil captaincy with veteran Dani Alves being made captain. The 27-year-old Neymar was Brazil's captain since the elimination in the World Cup quarter-finals against Belgium in 2018.
Tite's decision comes after Neymar's altercation with a fan at the French Cup final on April 27.
According to ESPN, the Brazil international passed initial tests and no serious injury was detected.
