Neymar is spitting on PSG, claims Dugarry
Former France international star Cristophe Dugarry, who is a member of France’s world cup winning team has said that PSG star Neymar is disrespecting the club he plays for.
Neymar is currently recuperating from an injury that will keep him on the sidelines for the rest of the season and the sensational Brazilian missed PSG’s title celebrations as the Paris club reclaimed the league title in ruthless fashion, defeating Monaco 7-1.
Much to Dugarry’s fury, Neymar celebrated the title-win by posting pictures of him playing poker with his friends.
“How could Neymar not be there with his teammates with the title at stake?" the former French midfielder asked on RMC Sport.
“They've given him the role of leader and he doesn't even come to share in the win? How is it possible that PSG can accept that? How can he look his teammates in the eye when he behaves that way?
He insinuated that a bigger club would not have let Neymar get away with this kind of behaviour.
“He's spitting on the club. I think it is outrageous. If he was at Barcelona, he would have returned with no problem.
“If I was at PSG, I'd be very angry,” Dugarry continued.
Dugarry also suggested that he cannot stand players who only play for themselves and felt that PSG need stronger mentality who will play for the club emblem.
"I can't stand those players who are only worried about themselves because it is the collective which wins games," he added.
"It is never individual players... and yet people think that PSG can win the Champions League with attitudes like that!"
