You can find my goals on google, says Ronaldo
Real Madrid’s Portuguese superstar feels that too much emphasis has been put on his lack of goals while decent performances are being overlooked.
In the wake of Real Madrid’s 3-1 defeat to Tottenham in the Champions League, Cristiano pointed out to his critics that if anybody was unaware of his stats then all they needed to do is use google for a reminder of his goal tally.
Cristiano took a swipe at his critics when he said: “My stats don’t matter. I am super calm. Nowadays it doesn’t count for you journalists if you produce a big performance. All that counts is goals, goals, goals.”
Cristiano Ronaldo ignored the question regarding his recent goal-scoring form and said that the stats are all there [on the internet].
“My stats? I'm not going to talk about them. You go to Google, 'Cristiano Ronaldo goals' and there they are. All of them. [Stats] don't concern me at all.”
After scoring against Tottenham Spurs at Wembley, Cristiano now has six Champions League goals from four matches this season.
Madrid, who are eight points behind Barcelona in the league have often struggled for form having lost to Real Betis and Girona and drawn against Valencia and Levante. Cristiano has scored just once in the league in six outings and he has already grown tired of the criticisms regarding his lack of goals.
