Shakib trains solo as Tigers prepare for Antigua challenge
Bangladesh have played a three-day warm-up match in the West Indies without their new Test captain ahead of their two-Test series against the hosts. However, Shakib Al Hasan joined the team on the last day of the match and trained solo by batting at the nets.
Following Mominul Haque's resignation from the captaincy right before the tour of West Indies, Shakib got the responsibility to lead the team for the third time. While the team had gone to the Caribbean in time in separate batches, Shakib arrived after spending a brief vacation with his family in the United States.
Upon joining the squad in Antigua, the Test captain watched the team play the last day of the three-day warm-up match which ended in a draw.
