Afran Nisho, one of Bangladesh's most celebrated actors, is set to make his much-anticipated return to cinema with the film “Daagi.” The title was officially registered with the Director's Guild just days ago, marking the actor's second venture into the world of cinema.
Celebrated actor Afran Nisho recently announced that the long-awaited shooting for his next film is set to begin in November or December this year, with the movie expected to be released during next year’s Eid-ul-Azha. The actor also revealed that he will continue working in films but in his own distinctive style.

Tama Mirza and Raihan Rafi have delivered hits when they worked together, starting with the web film "Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi" and continuing with the commercial movie "Shurongo". Many movie enthusiasts assumed that the National Award-winning actress would appear in Raihan Rafi’s blockbuster film "Toofan".
The clashes resulted in over 300 injuries, including female students and BCL members, and as of July 18, seven fatalities have been reported nationwide.
Despite the keen interest of filmmakers to cast Nisho in their films, the actor has been notably absent from the silver screen since then, leaving fans wondering about his next move. The anticipation amongst fans reached a crescendo yesterday when it was announced that the actor has signed not one but two films.
The actor cleared out his stances after a special screening arranged for his recent much-anticipated Deepto Play original web film, “UNO Sir”, which was simultaneously released on the platform on Saturday at Deepto TV premises in Tejgaon in the capital.
"Shurongo" has been running in 28 theatres since its release. According to Raihan Rafi, the film has been doing well in both multiplexes and single screens.
Eid-ul-Azha has brought a wave of excitement and anticipation for movie enthusiasts across the country as five highly-anticipated films hit the screens in 171 theatres, including multiplexes. Among these releases, Afran Nisho's debut film, “Shurongo,” has become the talk of the town, particularly at Star Cineplex, where it has set a remarkable record for the number of shows on the third day of Eid.

The "Shurongo" team also visited a handful of theatres on the second day of Eid, planning to visit more today, on Eid day-3 as well.

As there’s a couple of days remaining till Eid, the productions houses of Eid releases are now all busy with their film’s promotional works. Even the stars are giving their all, promoting their films via appearing in promotional events and on social media.
