Actress Nusraat Faria’s arrest in an alleged attempted murder case has drawn widespread criticism from prominent artistes and cultural figures, especially those who were vocal during the July uprising. Faria was detained at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday, May 18, while attempting to travel to Thailand, and was later sent to prison following a court order on Monday, May 19.
The project is being directed by noted filmmaker Shihab Shaheen, and is expected to premiere soon on an OTT platform.

Providing an insight into the film, he shared, “’Daagi’ is the story of Nishan and Jarin’s love and separation. At the same time, it is also a tale of regret and repentance for these two characters. From the teaser and romantic songs that have been released, I believe the audience has already sensed this.”
The upcoming film “Daagi” has recently unveiled its romantic track “Ektukhani Mon”, penned by Sadat Hossain and performed by artistes Tahsan and Masha.
