Ever heard of an arborist?

Yes, there are professionals around the world who are doctors of trees – known as an arborist. This profession has made its way into Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka.

These tree doctors will answer to your call, ring your door bells and treat your diseased plants.

A group of young professionals have come under the name of Green Savers to do just this. They have started off with a group of 13 bicycle-riding doctors with an office at Agargaon.

"We do not use the term gardener rather we use 'doctor of trees' as we want to popularise this profession", said Ahsan Roni, founder and chairman of Green Savers.

They charge Tk 30 to Tk 500 based on distance, time and care requirements for their services.  Anyone can get their services online or just by a phone call.
