RU 10th convocation on March 24
The date for the 10th convocation of Rajshahi University (RU) has been fixed on March 24 this year.
RU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Abdus Sobhan confirmed it to our campus correspondent this afternoon.
The confirmation comes after more than one year of the opening of the online registration for the convocation in 2016.

“Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will chair the convocation as per the instruction of the president as the latter won’t be able to attend the programme” VC Sobhan said.

The VC received a letter from the president’s office in this regard today.
Earlier on January 23, the authorities re-opened the online registration process with a deadline of January 31 for those who failed to register the first time for attending the convocation programme.

The online registration process was opened the first time on November 3 in 2016 with a deadline of November 30 for those who earned their masters, MBBS, BDS, MPhil and PhD degrees between 2011 and 2014 under RU. Later, the deadline was extended till December 15, 2016.
Nearly 5000 graduates registered for the programme that time, according to the RU ICT centre. But the authority failed to hold the convocation programme in time.
