Popular theatre troupe Anuswar is set to bring acclaimed author Shahaduzzaman's work "Mohashunye Cycle" to the stage. Directed by Saif Suman, the play explores the duality of human existence, blending a surreal narrative with psychological undertones.

In a press release, Anuswar announced that the play will have two technical performances on December 10 and 11 at Mohila Samity Auditorium. Following this, eight shows will be held consecutively from December 12 to 16 at the same venue.

Author Shahaduzzaman shared his thoughts on the adaptation: "The story revolves around a character who sees himself as split into two entities. The play delves into the interactions between these two sides of the same person. Inspired by Saif Suman's vision, I extended the story into a theatrical form."

Director Saif Suman elaborated on the themes of the play: "We roam this city with a mask of fear, yet our creative drive never fades. The play reflects our attempts to control time instead of being controlled by it."

Suman also expressed gratitude to Shahaduzzaman for adapting his own story into a play, saying, "It is an honor that he accepted my request and rewrote the story as a script. I owe him my deepest thanks."

The cast of "Mohashunye Cycle" includes actors SR Shampad, Mohammad Bari, Proshanto Haldar, Nuruzzaman Sarkar, Mutmainnah Rima, Jaheen Imtu, Mohammad Rakib, and Tanveen.

With its thought-provoking themes and a stellar ensemble, "Mohashunye Cycle" promises to be an engaging exploration of identity and time.
