Fraud case warrant against Ameesha Patel

"Race 2" famed actor Ameesha Patel recently found herself entangled in legal troubles as Ranchi court issued a warrant against her yesterday. According to media reports, the warrant was issued under the basis of a fraud and cheque bounce case.

The case was filed against the actor by Ajay Kumar Singh, who was invited to invest on the Ameesha Patel starrer film, "Desi Magic", and transferred Rs 2.5 crore to the "Gadar" star's bank account to produce and promote the film.

According to Ajay, the film began shooting back in 2013, but hasn't been completed even now. Moreover, he demanded his investment back. Ameesha later issued him two cheques for Rs 2 crore and Rs 50 lacs, both of which bounced.

The "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" star Ameesha Patel is expected to return for the sequel of film titled "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues", opposite to Sunny Deol. Directed by Anil Sharma, the Rs 1 billion budget film is expected to have its theatrical release this August 11.
