Kangana supports Sunny Deol’s rude fan interaction, slams ‘selfie culture’

Kangana Ranaut has responded to a satirical Twitter or X account that shared a video portraying Sunny Deol's apparent irate reaction to a fan's attempt to take a picture with him at the airport. In the video, Sunny is seen exclaiming, "Lai na photo (take the photo)." Kangana has come forward to back Sunny and criticize the prevalent 'selfie culture'.

The parody account, named Gabbar, posted the video and commented, "Never seen 1st gen stars ever behave such. It's always the star-kids who have grown up with fame and privilege who take this love for granted. Be it SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) or Amitabh Bachchan. Always grateful."

Sharing her perspective on the video, Kangana Ranaut stated, "Any one such incident in isolation can never be an indication of one's intentions or behavior, and selfie culture is horrible, people come very close to us we get subjected to all kinds of virals and viruses, love has many languages selfies and hugs are not the only ones."

Numerous others echoed Kangana's sentiment. One Twitter user conveyed, "You are right. It must be hard and annoying to have people encroaching on personal space all the time. Life has ups and downs, and it is not possible to always be in a happy mood."

Kangana Ranaut has also shown her support for Sunny's film "Gadar 2", which is expected to surpass the Rs 350 crore milestone in India. As the movie initially debuted at around Rs 40 crore, Kangana took to her Instagram stories, stating, "No mafia politics, no bought reviews, no fake propaganda, no buying of tickets through bulk corporate bookings, no caricature-like actors, just a genuine masculine hero and authentic mass-oriented content."

Addressing its box office performance, she further remarked, "Leave aside a holiday, even if it were a standalone release, the first day could easily touch Rs 65-70 crore... Yet, it's not just the revival of economic fortune in the film industry, but a look at the audience. I am thrilled to witness cinema reinstating excitement and a sense of nationalism in people's lives... Cheers to the enduring spirit of Tara Singh, Sunny Deol."
