‘Pathaan’ to be sent to censor, release on May 5
Bangladeshi cinema halls have been allowed to import Indian films subject to conditions a few days ago. Owing to this decision, Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Pathaan" is going to be released in theatres across the country. On Tuesday, the film will be sent to Bangladesh Film Censor Board, and after it gets permission, it is said to be released on May 5.
After verifying the necessary procedures including Bank LC, the Censor Board has issued a letter on April 27 asking to issue NOC (No Objection) for the film to reach the Censor Board office after allowing "Pathaan" from customs in the import process.
Now, it is up to the Film Censor Board, and the film is just a few steps away to be screened in local theatres, overcoming all the complications.
Action Cut Entertainment is importing Pathan to Bangladesh. On behalf of the organisation, Anonno Mamun told The Daily Star, "We will submit the film to the censor board tomorrow. If we get the clearance, it will be released next Friday."
The Yash Raj production was released worldwide, and earned over a thousand crores across the globe.
