BNP’s human chain Monday, sit-in Tuesday, hunger strike Thursday
BNP will form human chain across the country on Monday demanding unconditional release of its Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is now in jail in connection with Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
Leaders and activists of the party and it different front and associate bodies will also stage sit-in programme on Tuesday and observe hunger strike on Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to press home their demand.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed made the announcement at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka this afternoon.
All the programmes will also be meant for immediate withdrawal of the case lodged against her based on “false and politically motivated allegation”, Rizvi said.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia landed in jail on Thursday, after she was handed a five-year imprisonment for misappropriating a donation fund of Zia Orphanage Trust.
