Farooque in ICU

Noted actor and Member of Parliament Farooque has been in the ICU of Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, for the past 16 days.

The news was confirmed by Zayed Khan, General Secretary, Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samity. "I spoke to Farooque's wife, Farhana. He is critically ill. I request his fans and well-wishers to keep him in their prayers," he said.

"Farooque is like a brother to me. We are all praying for his speedy recovery," said megastar Uzzal.

Last October, Farooque was diagnosed with tuberculosis, commonly known as TB, at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He returned to Dhaka after his treatment. However, he was asked by his doctors to keep up with his monthly follow-ups.

Farooque has been a part of more than 150 films in his illustrious career.
