What does Elon Musk plan to do with Twitter?
Elon Musk has said that he wants to see Twitter fulfil its "extraordinary potential".
Is that why he has been so interested in owning the social media platform?

WHAT IS MUSK'S PLAN FOR TWITTER THEN?
We all know Musk likes to test boundaries and break rules. During the time when regulators around the world are lining up to crack down on social networks forcing them to take more responsibility for the content they carry, Musk declared that he wanted to see more "free speech" and less moderation on Twitter.
What does that mean for material that incites violence, or is abusive, or classifies as hate speech? We do not know yet.
Twitter's current main business model is ad-based. But Musk has expressed his wish to change that. He claimed to be more interested in subscriptions.
However, in a time where all the main social networks are free-to-use, we can't yet say how a subscription-based Twitter would do.
We also know about Musk's love for cryptocurrency. Could he use the platform to incentivise payments in volatile, unprotected currencies such as Bitcoin, asks Zoe Kleinman in his BBC article.
The situation further intensifies when we bring in the thousands of fans and admirers of Elon Musk into the equation, who do not like questioning his actions.
In a recent TED Talk, Musk also spoke about working to open source the algorithm of Twitter. In the same interview he also mentioned about developing the most awaited "edit" button for tweets.
In the end, the only conclusion we can definitely come to is that Musk's Twitter would be a very different landscape for the users than it is right now.
