Afran Nisho attended 'Shurongo' screenings in secret
Afran Nisho's debut film "Shurongo" has been released in 28 halls and has been growing in demand since its release. Audiences both in and outside the capital, are eager to watch the film.
Directed by Raihan Rafi, "Shurongo" features the pairing of Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza. Actress Nusraat Faria also appeared in an item song of the film, causing quite an uproar prior to the film's release.
On the film's release day, Nisho attended multiple screenings. The actor even attended the first screening of his film in secret, so that audiences won't see him and get distracted from the film.
He then met his fans and audiences after the show ended, interacting with everyone present. Nisho informed The Daily Star of this exchange last night.
He also added, "I wanted the audience to fully immerse in the film, that's why I attended in secret. The audiences are the heart of any film, I was taken aback and grateful for their excitement."
"I went to two halls during Eid day and the celebration surrounding the film made me really happy. People's reception toward the film really surprised me."
The "Shurongo" team also visited a handful of theatres on the second day of Eid, planning to visit more today, on Eid day-3 as well.
Nisho mentioned, "We're very happy about the response, thus we want to see it upfront. Despite all the people involved in the making, this film is for everyone. We want to stay connected with the audiences".
"All my efforts will be paid off if the audiences can relate to my character, see him portrayed through me. If 'Shurongo' can reach everyone in the country, it will set a new trajectory for our industry."
