Pay workers’ salaries, Eid bonus by July 25: Govt to factory owners

The government today asked factory owners to pay the due salaries and Eid festival bonus of the workers by July 25 ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.

Begum Monnujan Sufian, state minister for labour and employment, came up with the government directive to the owners of factories in 42 different sectors.

Sufian said this during a meeting with the leaders of Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad at Srama Bhaban in Dhaka.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest festival of the Muslims, is likely to be observed in the country on July 31 or August 1 based on the sighting of the moon.
