Rafi Hossain: Selim Bhai, how has the pandemic affected your work?
Rafi Hossain: How did you get associated with the Tower Hamlet’s Season of Bangla Drama?
I can’t describe myself in just three words. But, I would say I’m emotional, sensitive, full of life and moody.
This is a very special film. I was able to see life from a different perspective through it. A chance to play such an amazing character doesn’t come often, so I consider this as a big achievement.
Rafi Hossain: Thank you for giving us time, Mim. Are you currently very busy with the promotion of your film, ‘Shapludu’?
Tell us something about yourself. The answer to that is very complicated. I would say I’m just someone searching for something. I don’t know what that thing is though, as of now.
Rafi Hossain: Rafiqun Nabi sir, can you share your thoughts on the current state of art culture in our country?
The beginning half of the year 2018 had been rather stressful for me. I was not entirely sure of my plans and proceedings.
One of the members of the infamous troupe 'Joler Gaan', Rahul Ananda holds his sincere expertise, be it writing lyrics, doing tunes or crafting musical instruments. He has been a long time member of the theatres as well. Band 'Joler Gaan' has now reached its 12th year of creating wondrous music that carries the smell of our motherland. And Rahul Ananda has been nominated as the singer under the spotlight for 2018.
Sabnam Faria won the hearts of audiences with her very first drama. She never had to look back from then. Drama after drama, she has proven her excellence in acting as well as abundance of charisma.
Minar Rahman has established himself as a singing sensation, especially for the country's youth, with his hard work and pure dedication. From 'Shada' to 'Jhoom' – Minar has now been in the industry for ten successful years, and plans to conquer the years to come with equal efforts.
My first film Poramon 2 was released early in 2018. The plethora of love and affection it brought me was beyond my expectations. It was a huge commercial success, too. All in all, it was like a dream debut where I could not ask for any better.
Pooja Sengupta is one of the known faces in Bangladesh's dance scene. 2018 was a quite busy year for her. As a Bangladeshi, she was the first dancer to have performed in Philippines and China. There, she has received the praise of many. While conversing with Star Showbiz, she was telling these stories.

I work hard for success. This is actually an ordinary concept. For succeeding in life, one must work extremely hard. Although I have not fully succeeded yet, any good news pleases me immensely.
This year went very well for me. I spent a lot of time with my family this year, that's why I didn't do many projects this year. My wife noticed that and told me to pay more attention to my work, as I had not been giving enough attention to my projects for the previous two or three months.
Maria Manda, the talented midfielder is one of the best footballers in Bangladeshi women's football. She was the captain of the Bangladeshi under-15 team that won the 'South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup'.
