Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ faces backlash from Pakistani audiences
Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer film "Gadar 2" has been experiencing a meteoric rise ever since its release on July 26. The film has already entered the Rs 100 crore club in the Indian box office. However, the film now faces a backlash regarding a dialogue which clearly did not sit well with the Pakistani audience.
According to media reports, the film has a dialogue which states, "If there's a choice to return to India even today, half the Muslims in Pakistan would prefer to settle in India."
The quote has incurred criticism from many Pakistani audience on social media. Moreover, a video featuring a journalist asking the Pakistani audience to review "Gadar 2" has already gone viral on social media.
One of the Pakistani netizens shared, "One Pakistani is equal to a thousand Indian soldiers."
Funnily enough, netizens have even challenged the "Gadar 2" star Sunny Deol to a one on one duel.
Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and Manish Wadhwa among others. The film is counted amongst the fastest to enter the Rs 100 crore club and is expected to reach Rs 200 crore soon.
