Following a crushing defeat against Sri Lanka in their opening ICC Women's T20 World Cup, Bangladesh team have very little time to recover as they take on Australia in their second Group 1 game in Gqeberha tonight.

The match will get underway at 11:00pm and will be telecast live on GTV and Star Sports Network.

The Tigresses managed to score a modest total 126 for eight against Sri Lanka. Young pacer Marufa Akter's three-wicket burst was the only positive for Bangladesh with the ball in hand.

The Tigresses reached Gqeberha from Cape Town just the day before the Australia game and it will be important for skipper Nigar Sultana Joty and her troops to work on the mistakes from the first game.

"Actually we didn't get the time for discussion but we had a preview meeting after the match, so we had to discuss a few areas that we need to be working on if we want to play good cricket in the next matches. So, we just need to work on that and obviously coach had a plan against Australia, so we are just working on that," Joty told the media on Monday.

Marufa impressed with her swing and variation in the first game and Joty is hopeful that the bowling unit can deliver against the Aussies in the pace-friendly condition.

"I think this is a very good wicket for the pacers and I have seen Jahanara bowl really well in the first spell even though I can say about Marufa was stunning I guess. She's just young and she's super talented and how she bowled actually amazed all over the world. And I'm just looking forward to see her to bowl against Australia the same way she bowled against Sri Lanka," she said.
