The Suman Mukhopadhyay directorial film “Putulnacher Itikatha” also known as “The Puppet’s Tale” is set to compete at the Big Screen Compilation line-up at the 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).
In his initial remarks after the ceremony, Farooki made an open call to the public, stating, "If I make a mistake anywhere, I hope you will point it out. I will gladly accept it with an open heart."

The talented artiste feels that the experience of working in “Ajob Karkhana” enriched his soul. “I used to look for the research works done on folk musicians and music genres and at that time, I didn't have the real experience of witnessing them performing live, which I had during the shoot. It seemed surreal to me when listening to Jari, Ghatu or Baul songs (in front of Lalon Shah’s shrine) in a rustic atmosphere with thousands of people.”

Renowned Bengali television and film actor, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, recently took to Instagram to share a touching encounter with his uncle, Ritaban Ghatak, the son of the esteemed filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak. In a heartfelt post, Chattopadhyay expressed his customary annual visits during significant festivals such as Durga Puja, Christmas, and New Year, sharing snapshots with his uncle.
The film revolves around the lives of rickshaw pullers and artistes. It features prominent Indian actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay in a leading role, along with Dilruba Doyel, Shabnaz Sadia Emi, Khalid Hasan Rumy, Halim Boyati, Dilu Boyati, Kitaab Ali, amongst other artistes.
Parambrata Chattopadhyay donned the role of iconic detective Feluda in the Zee5 original web-series, “Shabash Feluda”. However, the new “Feluda” adaptation seems to have failed to meet the audience’s expectations, instead it suffered a backlash.
